I have a 40 litre Potterycrafts Aurora kiln available for bisque and glaze firings from my small home studio.

Kiln

Potterycrafts Aurora, 40 litre

Chamber size: 357mm high x 400mm wide.
Capacity example: around 20 mugs plus a plate or shelf of test tiles for glaze firing, with more room for bisque.
Firing range: bisque to 950°C and glaze to 1240°C, with flexibility if you are filling the kiln and your clay and glaze specs are suitable.

This suits potters who need a local firing option for small batches, test tiles, mugs, bowls, or a mixed shelf of work.

How it works

You can load your pots yourself, or I can load them for you with care.
Firings take time to heat and cool; work is usually ready for collection the following day.
Please bring your own packing or boxes when collecting your pieces.

Before firing

All work must be bone dry for bisque.
For glaze firings, bases must be clean with no glaze likely to run onto the shelf.
Damage to shelves or kiln caused by glaze runs or unprepared bases will need to be covered by you.
I cannot accept responsibility for breakages or glaze faults that occur during firing.
